A community is in mourning after a 16-year-old girl from Southern Maryland was killed by another teen in Washington early on Sunday morning one day before she was set to return to school. Waldorf resident Naima Liggon has been identified by the Metropolitan Police as the teen who was killed by another 16-year-old on Sunday, Aug. 27. A 19-year-old Washington, DC woman has been identified as the victim killed in an early morning collision while walking near a Southern Maryland intersection. At approximately 4:30 a.m. on Monday, July 17, officers from the Prince George's County Police Department were called to the 7200 block of Central Avevnue, where there was a report of a pedestrian who had been struck in the roadway.
