A 2009 Chevrolet Impala was traveling east on Route 259 (Brocks Gap Road) when it rear-ended a 2015 Ford E350 bus, which was stopped for another eastbound vehicle making a turn around 9:55 a.m. on Thursday, May 2, Virginia State Police said. The driver of the Chevrolet, Thomas L. Breighner, 86, of Timberville, VA, died at the scene. He was wearing a seatbelt. Hernandez was heading north on Route 11 (N. Valley Pike) in a 2015 Subaru Legacy when he crossed over the center line and struck a 2004 GMC Envoy head-on around 12:10 p.m. Monday, Dec. 25, VSP Sgt.
