A former star athlete in Virginia who spent his life supporting his beloved hometown in Spotsylvania is being remembered as "a beloved son, brother, and friend whose vibrant spirit touched everyone he met."
James Trevor Reid, a man who put family over everything else, died on Saturday, Sept. 14, and now the community is rallying around him, his girlfriend, and the unborn child he never had the opportunity to meet.

Police ID Motorcyclist, 35, Killed In I-66 Crash
Police have identified the 35-year-old motorcyclist killed in a crash on Interstate 66 over the weekend.
Cody P. Riley, 36, of Owens Cross Roads, AL, was riding east at an excessive rate of speed on a 2018 Yamaha FZ09, when he lost control around 8:25 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 19, Virginia State Police said.
Riley was thrown from the vehicle in the express lanes at the 60 mile marker. His bike came to rest on the left shoulder.
Riley, who was wearing a helmet, was taken to Inova Fairfax Hospital where he died that day.

Police ID Motorcyclist Killed In Northern Virginia Crash
Police in Prince William County have identified the motorcyclist killed in a crash on Tuesday, Aug. 22.
Muhammad Mubashar, 30, of Manassas, was operating his bike at a high rate of speed south on Lake Jackson, when he lost control while navigating a turn in the roadway, around 10:30 p.m., county police said.
The motorcycle left the roadway and traveled up an embankment, where the Mubashar came off the bike and struck a tree. He was transported to an area hospital where he died on Wednesday, Aug. 23.
