Virginia Powerball Player Was Almost A Billionaire Carlos Gutierrez's ticket for the Oct. 9 Powerball drawing matched the first five numbers to win the million-dollar prize.  The winning numbers were 16-34-46-55-67, and the Powerball number was 14. Gutierrez, of Centreville, said he initially selected all six of those numbers but at the last minute changed his Powerball number to 19. Had he stuck with those initial numbers, he would have won the jackpot.   Instead, he won the $1 million prize. Winning $1M Powerball Ticket Sold At Virginia Sandwich Shop A Powerball ticket good for a million bucks was sold in Virginia. The ticket from the Monday, Oct. 9 drawing was sold at Lee’s Sandwiches, located at 3037 Annandale Road in Falls Church. Two $150,000 tickets and four $50,000 winning tickets were also sold across the state. The winning numbers were 16, 34, 46, 55, and 67. The red Powerball drawn was 14 and the Powerplay was 3x.
