One person was killed and a second critically injured in a Virginia crash that took the life of a 30-year-old man. Speed is believed to have been a factor in the crash that killed Sohail Iqbal, of Manassas, VA, just after midnight on Monday, Dec. 4 at the intersection of Lee Highway and Clifton Road in Centreville, Fairfax County police said. Police K-9 Catches Crook In Fairfax County: Police
A 31-year-old gas station robber was arrested with help form a police K-9 after authorities say he fled on a mass transit bus in Fairfax County earlier this week. A man later identified as Clint Cook, of Fairfax, implied he had a gun when he worked his way around the counter of the Lee Highway Sunoco in Centreville around 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, county police said. Cook demanded the clerk open the register, then fled on foot with the money. Two pedestrians were killed in the DMV area overnight as police investigate a pair of separate fatal crashes in Fairfax and Prince George’s County that happened within hours of each other.
