Innocent Woman, 37, Killed By Wrong-Way Driver In I-695 Police Pursuit (Update) Police have identified the innocent driver killed by a wrong-way car thief during a police pursuit on I-695 earlier this week. Dimeka Thornton, 37, of Windsor Mill, was operating an Acura TSX when she was struck by a driver in a stolen car in the outer loop, on the ramp to Exit 18 to Liberty Road around 12:15 a.m. Monday, April 8, the Maryland Attorney General's Office said in a release. DC Carjackers Busted By Police Helicopter Following Pursuit On I-695 A pair of carjackers attempted to make a great escape after an armed carjacking in Northwest DC, but did not make it far, according to authorities. Antwon Haynie, 25, and DaQuan Oden, 22, both of Southeast DC, are facing charges after members of the Metropolitan Police Department used a helicopter to track down the fleeing suspects. Fairfax County Fire and Rescue personnel were called at approximately 3 p.m. on Thursday, April 13, to a reported large brush fire in the 6900 block of Alpine Drive in Annandale.
