Tractor Trailer Crashes On I-395 In Arlington
Delays were building on I-395 due to a tractor trailer crash Thursday, May 16 in Arlington. The VDOT site shows the crash happened at mile marker 9.2 in the northbound lanes. "Motorists can expect delays due to a tractor trailer crash," the site said as of press time.

Drag Racing Driver Crashes During Pursuit Along I-395: State Police
A 19-year-old Maryland driver is facing multiple charges in connection with a pursuit and several crashes on I-395 in Virginia, police said. Kennedy W. Mejia Medina, of Silver Spring, was in a Toyota Camry that was trying to race another car along the highway around 12:15 a.m., when Virginia State Police attempted a motor vehicle stop near Edsall Road in Fairfax County, police said. Two District women are facing charges in Arlington after stealing items from a store and taking police on a short-lived pursuit, officials say. Taniya Bradford, 22, and Jamira Hampton, 23, took members of the Arlington County Police Department for a ride over the weekend before ultimately being apprehended for robbery. An early morning crash in Virginia left one motorcyclist dead, and a second with serious injuries after they were run down by an SUV. At around 4:40 a.m. on Saturday morning, Virginia State Police troopers were called to a stretch of I-395 in Arlington County, when three motorcyclists were riding when they were struck from behind by an SUV. U-Haul Truck Leads 95MPH Pursuit Through Alexandria With Passengers
The driver of a U-Haul truck was arrested after leading a 95 mph pursuit along I-395 in Alexandria overnight, authorities said. A Virginia State Trooper who saw the truck initiated a traffic stop around 2:30 a.m., but the driver refused, and sped away taking Exit 3 for Duke Street, Virginia State Police said. The U-Haul continued through Alexandria in a reckless manner speeding up and slowing down until it returned to I-395 heading south.
