A Spotsylvania woman was arrested after smashing into another driver in Fredericksburg while allegedly driving under the influence, police say. Over the weekend, an officer on patrol in downtown Fredericksburg spotted a red Toyota RAV 4 that blew through the stop sign at the intersection of Fauquier Street and Caroline Street and crashing into a Hyundai Elantra. A 26-year-old woman was nearly twice the legal limit when she struck a car and was caught driving the wrong way in Virginia, police said. Raechel Chittum was spotted going the wrong way down the 900 block of Princess Anne Street, a one-way street, by a Fredericksburg police officer on Saturday, June 1, the department said in a release. Arsonist Lit T-Shirt On Fire, Shoved It Through VA Neighbor's Mail Slot: Police
A Fredericksburg woman has found herself behind bars after lighting a t-shirt on fire and shoving it through her neighbor's front door mail slot, police said. The homeowner on the 1200 block of Caroline Street smelled smoke and found the fiery t-shirt around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 20, Fredericksburg police said. : Fredericksburg To Lower Speed Limits Next Month
Fredericksburg will lower its speed limits on several downtown streets from 25 miles an hour to 20 mph starting next month.
