A new alert was issued by the Metropolitan Police Department this week as they attempt to track down a suspect and vehicle wanted in connection to a carjacking, robbery, and kidnapping in Northwest DC earlier this month.
Like a scene out of a movie, shortly after 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 9, the suspect swerved his car in front of his victim, who was still parked in his own vehicle in the 400 block of K Street NW.

DC Man Who Carjacked Off-Duty Maryland Officer Arrested: Police
Police have identified and captured the man who they say carjacked a Prince George's County police officer this week.
Anthony Stewart, 19, of Washington DC, was arrested on charges of carjacking, robbery, theft, and more, county police said.
The officer was loading his family into his private vehicle when he was approached by Stewart, forcing him out of the car on the 6700 block of Oxon Hill Road, around 5:05 p.m., Prince George's County Police Department brass said.

A 20-year-old Washington DC man arrested for kidnapping last week was in custody after carjacking a juvenile and then crashing the car in Virginia, police said.
At 4:32 p.m. Monday, Oct. 30, an officer got a call from loss prevention about a suspect, Mecca Lee-Bey, who was seen stealing more than $2,500 worth of merchandise, Fairfax County police said.
Upon approach, Lee-Bey fled the business and entered a nearby parking lot. Detectives from the Tysons Urban Team were asked for assistance. Lee-Bey attempted to open the door of a 2013 Kia Optima entering the garage.
