'Savage' Man Convicted Of Gouging Unconscious Victim's Eyes Out Causing Forever Blindness In VA A Prince William County man was convicted of a "savage" attack on a victim in 2021 in which he gouged her eyes out while they were unconscious, leaving them permanently blind, authorities announced. The jury deliberated for approximately 10 minutes on April 7 before finding Cody Dale Davis guilty of one count of aggravated malicious wounding, in connection with the Feb. 2, 2021 assault, the Commonwealth's attorney Amy Ashworth announced.
