Abandoned Baby Update: Suspect Vehicle ID'd By Police In Alexandria Authorities in Alexandria have launched an investigation into the case of an abandoned child, they said. A girl between 1 and 2 years old was left outside of 8 South Van Dorn St., by an unknown man around 9:45 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, a spokesperson for the Alexandria Sheriff's Office said. Responding officers found the girl dressed in warm clothing, and in apparent good health. Nobody in the area reported knowing the child or who she may belong to, officials said.
