Northern VA Dad, 34, Dies Weeks After Crash Returning From Work, Campaign Says
A 34-year-old Northern Virginia man has died weeks after suffering serious injuries in a crash on his way home from work, loved ones say.
Dominique Battle, of Stafford, was returning home from work when he suffered a broken femur, broken ankle, and serious head trauma Thursday, April 4, according to a GoFundMe campaign that had been launched for his recovery.
Dominique's obituary said he died at the Capital Caring Advance Home Care & Hospice Center in Aldie, VA, on Friday, May 17, 2024. Details in the crash were not immediately available.

Sandra Smith Bellfield, affectionately known as Nunee, died on March 26, 2024. She was 48 years old.
According to a GoFundMe launched for her family, Sandra died of anoxic brain injury.

Search Launched For Abductor Of Woman, Baby In Northern VA: Police
A search is on for a 30-year-old man wanted for assaulting a woman and then forcing her inside a car, along with a child, that he soon-after crashed, police in Northern Virginia said.
Deyvon M. Newman, of Manassas, first struck the woman, whom he knew, sometime Sunday evening, July 9, in Aldie, the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office said.
When the woman attempted to flee their parked vehicle, Newman forced her back inside and drove off, police said. The vehicle crashed a short time later and the female and a child were able to flee and contact a passerby.

Crash Involving Horse Trailer Kills 2 In Loudoun County
Two people died in a three-vehicle crash involving a horse trailer Memorial Day Weekend in Loudoun County.
The crash happened on James Monroe Highway at Tail Race Road in Aldie Saturday, May 28 around 3 p.m., the sheriff's office said.
Thomas A. Miller, 61, of West Virginia, crossed into oncoming traffic and struck a pickup truck hauling the horse trailer, authorities said. The truck lost control and struck an SUV, driven by Pedro J. Sera-Leyva, 68, of Leesburg, police said.
