Day 3 Without Water For Some Alexandria Residents

Some Alexandria residents are on their third day without water following a main break.

The Alexandria water main break happened on Tuesday, Aug. 8, on the 5300 block of Duke Street.

As of Thursday, Aug. 10, residents at the London Park Towers remained without water.

Residents were shuttled to the Patrick Henry Rec Center, at 4653 Tainey Ave., where drinking water and other facilities were offered, said Alexandria OEM from the scene.

The city's deputy manager tells DCNewsNow he's hopeful water will be restored to residents this morning, Thursday, Aug. 10.
