Emergency Crews Rescue Person Pinned Under Excavator In Virginia A person was hospitalized Monday morning after being trapped under a piece of heavy machinery in Arlington. First responders from the Arlington County Fire Department were called shortly before noon to the 3500 block of Potomac Street for reports of a person pinned beneath a toppled mini excavator. Upon arrival, fire crews found the man trapped under the equipment. He was extricated and transported to an area hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening. Man Killed By Vehicle Inside Enclosed Construction Site In Virginia, Police Say (Developing) One person was killed by a vehicle in a construction site in Alexandria on Wednesday morning, police say. Shortly after 7:30 a.m. on July 24, officers were called to the 5700 block of Duke Street, where there was a reported injury. Upon arrival, a spokesperson for the Alexandria Police Department says that they found a man inside the enclosed construction site who was fatally struck by the vehicle.
