Former Disney actress Christy Carlson Romano is recovering after being shot in the face.
The Connecticut native, 40, from Milford, was at a clay pigeon shooting range celebrating her husband’s birthday on Friday, Feb. 7, when another group “unsafely fired in the wrong direction,” she said on Instagram.
Romano was hit in five places, one less than an inch from her right eye.

Missing Dad, 39, Found Dead After 9 Day Search: Fairfax County PD
The search for a missing man in Fairfax County has ended in tragedy, authorities announced.
Tamrat Gebremichel was reported missing after having last been seen on Jan. 5 in Springfield, Fairfax County police said. On Jan. 14, police announced that 39-year-old Gebremichel was found dead.
A GoFundMe says that Gebremichel was found dead in Alexandria. Further circumstances around the case have not been released, and police said only that no foul play was suspected.

Journalist and author Richard Cohen has died after inspiring countless people through his decades-long battle with MS and cancer.
Cohen, the husband of former TODAY anchor Meredith Vieira, died on Tuesday, Dec. 24, TODAY reported. The Plainview, New York, native was 76 years old.
A veteran reporter, Cohen lived with multiple sclerosis for more than 50 years and overcame two cancer diagnoses during his life. He was also legally blind.
