Massive House Explosion Levels Home In DMV: Officials A house exploded and was leveled overnight in a quiet Rosedale neighborhood, prompting a major emergency response and investigation, according to the Baltimore County Fire Department. Fire crews responded shortly after 2 a.m. Tuesday, July 1, to the 8100 block of Callo Lane, where they found the home completely destroyed and fire suppression in progress, officials said. House Explosion Under Investigation In Virginia (Developing) First responders were called to a reported home explosion in Haymarket late on Tuesday afternoon. Crews responded to the 5900 block of Colby Hunt Court for a reported gas-related home explosion, according to a social media post made by the Loudoun County Career Fire Fighters association. The initial call came in at approximately 4:15 p.m. on Oct. 15 before a second alarm was called. According to officials, it is believed the fire stemmed from an outside gas leak caused by utility work.  It is unclear if there were any injuries. The house was evacuated safely.
