Late on Saturday night, Upper Marlboro native Journee Moore was the subject of an emergency call in Northwest DC after going into cardiac arrest. Late in the morning on Monday, May 27, officers were called to an apartment in the 1400 block of Newton Street NW, where there was an unconscious infant. She was rushed by DC Fire and EMS personnel to an area hospital where she would later die.  This week, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for the District of Columbia determined the infant died from fentanyl/methamphetamine intoxication. Toddler's Death In DC Ruled Homicide By Blunt Force Injuries, Police Say The death of a 1-year-old boy who was killed during an incident last week in Southeast DC has been ruled a homicide by the Chief Medical Examiner. Members of the Metropolitan Police Department were called shortly before 11:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 22 to a home in the 1800 block of 18th Street SE, where they found Jordan Ballard unresponsive. The child was rushed by DC Fire and EMS personnel to an area hospital, where, despite lifesaving measures, he died. His body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in DC, which determined the child suffered multiple blunt force injuries…
