Arlington Group Rescues Dogs, Cats From Puerto Rico After Hurricane Fiona: Report Lucky Dog Animal Rescue in Arlington saved 30 dogs and cats from Puerto Rico, after it was impacted by Hurricane Fiona, WTOP reported. The nonprofit rescue organization brought these animals to Virginia so that Puerto Ricans can focus on rebuilding what was left of their homes after the hurricane, the website said.  Founder and executive director of Lucky Dog Animal Rescue Mirah Horowitz said that these pets can be adopted and will respond better to Spanish commands, WTOP detailed. Warning: Hurricane 'Fiona' May Mean High Surfs, Rip Currents For Coastal VA: Reports Hurricane Fiona may not make landfall in Virginia, but coastal residents will surely see some changes to the water, officials said.Coastal Virginians can expect high surf and rip currents from Sept. 22 to Sept. 24, thanks to Fiona, according to the Virginia Department of Emergency Management. The hurricane is expected to stay far off the East Coast, but wave heights could rise to between seven and 10 feet on Sept. 22 and 23, officials reported.
