Driver Dies In Route 250 Bypass Crash In Alberbarle County: Police A driver died in an Albermarle County crash on the Route 250 Bypass Thursday, Aug. 10, police said. The crash happened around 8:15 a.m., on the westbound side of the Route 250 Bypass near the exit ramp for Route 601, police said. The driver was declared dead at the scene. Their identity was being withheld pending notification of the next of kin. The crash remains under investigation by the Albemarle County Police Department’s Fatal Crash Reconstruction Team.
