Spat Over Storm Drain Paving Continues For Hoboken Mayor, County Exec The accidental paving of a storm drain in Hoboken has led to war of words between Hoboken Mayor Ravi Bhalla and Hudson County Executive Craig Guy. Dump Truck Overturns In Sussex County, Driver Hospitalized: Fire Department A person was hospitalized after they were trapped in an overturned dump truck Sussex County on Tuesday, Aug. 6, authorities said. At 3:02 p.m., first responders were dispatched to Route 15 southbound in Sparta Township and found a dump truck overturned with a driver trapped, the Sparta Township Fire Department said.  Sparta Township Fire Department The driver was out of the truck by the time first responders arrived and was treated and transported to a nearby hospital, firefighters said. Firefighters worked to secure the scene and eventually up righted the truck, authorities said.

Scooterist Killed In Route 280 Crash: Njsp A 32-year-old man was killed when he was struck by a vehicle while riding a scooter on Route 280 in Newark on Sunday, Aug. 4, authorities aid. At 4:17 a.m., the man was operating an electric scooter on Route 280 East when he was struck by a Chrysler, Charles Marchan, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police man. The man, whose name has not been identified pending next of kin notification, sustained fatal injuries, Marchan said. The crash remains under investigation, Marchan said.
