George Mason University Will Freeze Tuition For In-State Students: Report George Mason University has become Virginia's last public college to freeze in-state tuition, according to Richmond.com. The Fairfax County school voted to comply with Gov. Glenn Youngkin's request, and mandate that all in-state students pay the same tuition every year, the website said.  GMU is Virginia's largest public school and charges in-state students $13,000 for tuition and fees, along with another $13,000 for room and board, Richmond.com said.  Click here for more on George Mason University's recent decision on tuition.

Elderly Woman Killed Inside Home, DC Police Offer $25K Reward For Information A 73-year-old woman was found dead inside a D.C. home, police said. On Sept. 25, officers arrived at the scene in 5100 block of 2nd Street, where they found Gloria Williams, who had suffered apparent trauma, according to the Metropolitan Police Department. She was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities reported. Police said William's autopsy revealed that she had been stabbed and her death was ruled a homicide. DC Murder Suspect, 23, Arrested Two Years After Shooting: Police D.C. police have arrested a suspect in connection with a 2020 murder, officials said. On Feb. 12, 2020, 60 year-old Barron Goodwin was found with a gunshot wound in the 800 block of 51st Street, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.  The bullet that hit Goodwin was allegedly shot through the window of a home, the Washington Post reported. Goodwin was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead, authorities said. Over two years later, police arrested 23 year-old Ky’Lee Palmer for first degree murder while armed, officials said.
