Rutherford's Dr. William E. Schlenger Who Spurred Policy Changes For Vietnam Veterans Dies
William E. Schlenger, Ph.D. died peacefully on September 1, 2021, after succumbing to the long-term ravages of dementia. He was predeceased by his wife, Nancy Jernigan, MD, who died on May 11, 2021.
Bill, born on December 29, 1945, was the son of Donald E Schlenger and Evelyn Woodward Schlenger, both deceased, of Palm Desert, CA. He is survived by his stepdaughter, Teri Minnis of Raleigh, and his older brother, Donald R. Schlenger and his wife, Jacqueline Masar Schlenger, of Cary, NC. Baseball Fan, Family Man: Anthony Fusco, 79, Was Loved By All
Anthony “Tony” R. Fusco, 79, formerly of Park Ridge, died on Jan. 29, 2021.
Tony was born in New York City to Anthony Sr. and Philomena (Zero) Fusco. He grew up in Brooklyn and was a joy to all he knew him — he was known for his exuberant smile and mischievous personality.
Tony was a graduate of Saint Augustine High School in Brooklyn.
He married the love of his life, Eileen Gordon, on November 7, 1971 and enjoyed a successful career of 40 years with Citibank, before retiring in 2000.

New Canaan's Robert Amen, 42, Remembered As Devoted Father, Husband
Robert M. Amen, Jr. of New Canaan died Thursday, March 15, from complications related to leukemia with his family by his side. He was 42.
The eldest of five, Amen was known as a big brother to many. Whether it was the U.S. Air Force, where he served for six years with distinction, including multiple tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, or at FactSet, where he was proud to be a team member or on his beloved tennis and paddle courts at Woodway Country Club, Rob was dedicated to the team.
