Video released Tuesday shows the final moments after a Wildwood Crest man stole a police car, got out and ran at pursuing officers before one of them shot him earlier this month. Roy K. Jackel, 41, was “holding his arm behind his back and ignoring their commands to show his hands” when Franklin Township Police Sgt. The owner of a Wildwood Crest pizzeria must serve a plea-bargained 15 months in federal prison for filing false income tax returns, authorities said. Giuseppe D’Arancio, 61, of Cape May Court House must serve the entire term handed down Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Camden because there's no parole in the federal prison system. Water advisories at three Cape May County beaches were lifted after bacteria commonly found in human or animal waste was detected. Bennett Avenue in Wildwood City, Lavender Road in Wildwood Crest and East 10th Avenue in North Wildwood reopened Wednesday, a day after high levels of enterococci showed up in water samples, state environmental officials said.
