Officers rescued three people after their kayaks overturned at a state park on Long Island. Officers on Marine Juliette responded to Captree State Park in Bay Shore on Monday, Aug. 16 after receiving a report of kayakers in the water at about 3:10 p.m., according to the Suffolk County Police Department. SCPD said a 55-year-old Farmingville man's kayak capsized near a dock. Wildwood Crews Rescue Distressed Nighttime Swimmers
A pair of swimmers were rescued by crews in Wildwood last Friday night. The two went in the water after regular guards had finished their shift and after-hour crews were leaving for the night, NJ Advance Media reports. The pair was spotted approximately 100 yards off the beach just before 8 p.m., Wildwood Beach Patrol wrote in a release. Kayaker Who Could Not Swim Rescued After Vessel Capsizes In Area Lake
A kayaker who could not swim and had overturned his vessel was rescued by first responders in the area. The incident took place around noon on Wednesday, Aug. 4 Ulster County in the Town of Lloyd. Firefighters rescued a stranded jet skier trapped up to his waist in a North Wildwood marsh Sunday evening. Kayaker Rescued While Drift Towards Dam In Lancaster County
A kayaker was rescued after his boat overturned and he could not safely reboard on Saturday morning, according to Northern Lancaster County Regional Police. NLCRPD patrols were dispatched to a water rescue in the Middle Creek Waterfowl Refuge Impoundment where the kayaker was reportedly drifting towards the dam. Fire and rescue units were dispatched along with the Pennsylvania Gam Commission Game Wardens, in addition to the NLCRPD patrols. Emergency crews were quick to rescue a man whose kayak overturned in a Hunterdon County reservoir — as well as the two good Samaritans who attempted to save him but overturned in their boat as well, authorities said.
