25-Year-Old From NY Killed In Route 284 Crash In Wantage Township: Njsp A 25-year-old New York man was killed in a crash on Route 284 in Sussex County on the afternoon of Sunday, Nov. 17, authorities said. At 2:02 p.m., a Chevrolet passenger vehicle, driven by Andrew Slagle, an Orange County resident from Westtown, was traveling northbound on Route 284 in Wantage Township when it veered off the roadway to the right, struck several trees and overturned, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said.  Slagle sustained fatal injuries, Lebron said. Motorcyclist, 26, Seriously Hurt In Head-On Crash With SUV In Sussex County A motorcyclist was seriously injured after crashing head-on into an SUV in Sussex County Sunday afternoon, state police said. Dakotah Lewis, 26, was riding a Kawasaki motorcycle southbound on Route 23 when he crossed over into the northbound lanes and crashed head-on into a Ford Explorer near milepost 48 in Wantage Township just before 1:20 p.m., WRNJRadio reports citing NJSP Trooper Alejandro Goez. Lewis, of Highland Mills, suffered serious injuries, while the Ford driver and passenger suffered minor injuries in the crash, which remains under investigation, Goez said.
