Here's Where NY Ranks Among Best States In US, And Why
A brand-new report ranks all 50 states from top to bottom based on a variety of factors.
U.S. News & World Report released its annual best states rankings on Tuesday, May 2, and New York came in at -- drumroll, please -- No. 20.
Rankings were based on statistics in several categories, including economy, crime, health care, infrastructure, and education.
A total of 48.8 percent of New Yorkers are college educated, the report said.
New York has a median income of $43,462 and a Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of just over $2 billion.
Utah is the top-ranked state in the rankings. …
Northern Westchester Hospital Raises More Than $1.7 Million At Annual Gala
More than 700 supporters of Northern Westchester Hospital (NWH), part of Northwell Health, gathered on Saturday, November 5, for the hospital’s annual gala at the Ward Pound Ridge Reservation. The event – which honored Scott D. Hayworth, MD, FACOG, and CEO and Market Leader, Optum Tri-State and CEO of CareMount Health Solutions, and former US Rep. Nan Hayworth, MD – raised more than $1.7 million.
A recent gift by the doctors will create the Hayworth Family Maternity Center in the modernized Maternal Child Health Unit at NWH.

Two Massachusetts Hospitals Named Some Of The Nation's Best In New Report
A recent U.S. News & World Report survey named two Boston hospitals as some the best in the country.
Massachusetts General Hospital ranked 8th in the survey released this week, and Brigham and Women's Hospital came in at 14th.
The Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, and NYU Langone Hospitals in New York finished first, second, and third, respectively.
