Suspect Arrested Days After 11-Year-Old Boy Killed In Elkton Hit-And-Run, Police Say
Days after a hit-and-run claimed the life of 11-year-old Mesiah Lafayette, police have arrested the man accused of leaving the scene of the deadly crash in Elkton.
Nestor La Guillen Parra, 31, was apprehended on Tuesday, Nov. 19, in Wilmington, Delaware, by the US Marshals Fugitive Task Force as he was waiting to hitch a ride to Georgia, then Mexico when he was arrested, officials said.
The fatal incident occurred on Saturday evening, Nov. 16, at the intersection of Elkton Road and Belle Hill Road, where Parra is accused of striking Lafayette and fleeing the scene.

A Paterson couple wanted in the shooting death of a city man 10 days earlier were captured at the Jersey Shore on Friday, authorities announced.
Marc DeJesus, 44, jumped out a second-floor window in Barnegat and was quickly seized, along with Cassandra Ramirez, 32, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Ibrahim Baycora said in a joint statement.

Trio Nabbed On Long Island With Weapons, Guns, After Wild Chase Involving Several Crashes
Three alleged gang members, one wanted for murder, were arrested by police who confiscated drugs and weapons during a wild takedown that involved several vehicle crashes.
The arrest took place on Thursday, Oct. 29 in Hauppauge.
