A 40-year-old wanted man was found hiding in a camp deep in the woods in Windham County on Monday, Oct. 21, after months on the run, authorities said.
Steven Labrecque, 40, is wanted by authorities in Massachusetts on charges of child pornography, photographing intimate parts of a child, intimidation of a witness, reckless endangerment of a child, threatening, obscene matter to a minor, assault, and battery, the US Marshal Service said.

Rafael Ramos, Jr., a Newark police sergeant died on Tuesday, Jan. 16, following an illness, the city announced on Facebook.
Ramos joined the Newark Police Division in Feb. 1991 and was promoted to sergeant in 2022, Newark Mayor Ras J. Baraka and Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé said.

A man police say shot and killed 17-year-old Nathan Paul in Quincy last year and fled to Puerto Rico has been arrested and brought back to Massachusetts, the Norfolk County District Attorney said.
Keniel Diaz-Romero, formerly of Quincy, will be arraigned later this week on charges of murder, larceny from a person, possession of a counterfeit bill, uttering a counterfeit bill, conspiracy to commit larceny, and unlawfully carrying a firearm, the prosecutor said.

A Fairfield County man has been nabbed for the alleged sexual assault of a minor over several years.
Manuel Guaman, age 46, of Danbury was charged on Friday, Feb. 3, in connection with the assault of a Norwalk child which was reported in 2021, according to Lt. Joe Dinho of the Norwalk Police.
On Monday, Sept. 20, 2021, the Norwalk Police Department received a complaint of sexual assault against a juvenile victim, Dinho said.

One of two siblings is being held by police in Pennsylvania following an investigation into an altercation in Frederick County that left a man and dog with stab wounds, authorities announced.
Dalonte Shea Dunston, 31, and Lavitira Edmond, 29, both of Frederick, are facing multiple assault and other charges for their roles in a Waverly Drive stabbing in their hometown late last year, the Frederick Police Department announced this week.

Police in the region, along with members of the US Marshal Service arrested an escaped prisoner who had been granted a furlough to attend a funeral.
Jason “Critter” Lajoie, age 45, was arrested on Wednesday, Oct. 27, said Lt. Mark Johnstone, of the Monticello Police in Sullivan County.
According to Johnstone, Lajoie who was being held in federal custody on weapons and drug offenses had been granted a furlough in order to attend a funeral in Rhode Island.
