2 Women Stabbed In Linden Domestic Attack, Police Say
Two women were hospitalized after being stabbed by a family member early Sunday morning in Linden, police said. A family member attacked both women in a house on the 700 block of Chandler Avenue around 6:45 a.m., Linden police Lt. Christopher Guenther said. Officers arriving on scene found the women were attacked by a family member in their home, Guenther said. A nurse who died of coronavirus over the weekend is being remembered for his dedication to both his family and his trade. Felicisimo Omaña Luna Jr., 62, had been working at Trinitas Regional Medical Center in Elizabeth when he contracted the virus. His daughter Gabrielle, also a nurse, cared for him while he was sick. Fatal Accident: Elizabeth Woman Struck By Cab, Run Over By Passing Car
An Elizabeth woman was fatally struck by a livery car Thursday morning, authorities said. The victim was crossing Division Street when she was struck around 7:15 a.m., a spokesperson for the Elizabeth Police Department said. Another vehicle went around the cab and ran over the woman, lying in the street, the spokesperson said. She was transported to Trinitas Regional Medical Center. The investigation is continuing, however DUI was not a factor.

A 20-year-old Elizabeth man was fatally shot in the city early Saturday, the Union County Prosecutor's Office said. Jamile Robbins was found by police in a parking lot of Irvington Avenue. The Union County Prosecutor's Office is investigating after an Elizabeth man was found dead in a holding cell last week. The 58-year-old man, whose identity was withheld pending notification of family, was arrested around 1:45 a.m. Sept. 19 near a restaurant in the 400 block of Morris Avenue. The day before, at around 5:40 a.m., a small fire broke out in a Dumpster at that location, which was quickly put out. Man Pleads Guilty To Beating Up Pregnant Bus Driver In Elizabeth
A 39-year-old Union resident pleaded guilty to assaulting a pregnant NJ Transit bus driver, the Union County Prosecutor's Office said in a statement. Andre Dawson III attacked the woman around 4:30 p.m. Jan. 28 while the bus was traveling in Elizabeth at Broad Street and Westfield Avenue. The woman suffered bumps, cuts and bruises in the attack.
