2nd Child Dies In South Jersey Rollover Crash
Two children have died following a rollover crash earlier this month in South Jersey.
Camden's Jesus Diaz, 5, was pronounced dead at the scene of the Route 55 incident in Vineland on July 7, around 11:30 p.m., authorities said.
Then, on July 11, Carlos Diaz, 6, of Camden, passed away, police said.
The two boys were among five children ejected from the Toyota Sienna driven by a 35-year-old Camden mom, New Jersey State Police said.

Child Killed, 6 Injured In Route 55 Vineland Crash
A young boy was killed and six others from South Jersey were hurt in a rollover crash late Wednesday, authorities said.
A Toyota Sienna went off of Route 55 in Vineland, then overturned into the lanes of travel, according to State Police. The Toyota minivan was then struck by a Chevrolet Cruze, according to Sgt. Alejandro Goez, a NJSP spokesman.
The driver of the Toyota, Elvira Lopez-Mendoza, 35, of Camden, suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Cooper University Hospital, Goez said.

Grandparent Scam: Rochelle Park PD Nabs Bronx Man After Elderly Victim Mails $7,800
Rochelle Park police nabbed a phone scammer from the Bronx who convinced an elderly victim to mail $7,800 in cash that he said was needed to bail out his just-arrested grandson, authorities said.
Posing as a police officer, a caller told the 80-something Washington State resident that his grandson had been arrested, Detective Lt. James DePreta said.
The caller said his son needed $16,800 for bail, then directed him to mail $7,800 to a Rochelle Park address, DePreta said.
Believing it was real, the victim sent the money, the lieutenant said.

Man Nabbed Driving Stolen Vehicle During Routine Traffic Stop On I-87, State Police Say
A 35-year-old man was arrested by New York State Police for allegedly driving a stolen vehicle during a routine traffic stop.
Carmelo C. Murray, age 35, of Brooklyn, was arrested around 2:20 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 9, following the stop on I-87 in the Village of Suffern.
During an investigation following, it was determined that the vehicle, a 2015 Toyota Sienna van, was reported stolen out of New York City, state police said.
Murray did not have permission to possess the vehicle and could not provide the owner’s name, state police said.
