An investigation dubbed "Operation Golden State" led to the arrests of more than two dozen Central Jersey gang members on charges ranging from attempted murder, dogfighting, racketeering and more, authorities said Friday.
The 29 suspects from the "Golden State" gang were mostly from from Monmouth and Ocean, involved in more than a dozen recent shootings in Asbury Park, Long Branch, Tinton Falls, Keansburg and Neptune Township, according to Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni.

A pair of men from Monmouth County have been arrested for armed robbery and breaking into about 100 vehicles, authorities said.
Mario Mondragon, 21, of Long Branch and Genaro Guzman, also 21, of Shrewsbury Township are accused of committing the robberies and burglaries in five municipalities between April and June, New Jersey State Police said.

Neptune Man, 36, Stole $90K From Tinton Falls Employer
A Neptune Township man was arrested on Friday for stealing nearly $90,000 from his employer over a 10-month period, authorities said.
The theft was discovered during an internal audit by the unidentified employer in Tinton Falls, Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni said.
Derrick Forde, 36, of Neptune Township, was charged with theft, Gramiccioni said. Forde faces up to 10 years in prison if convicted, the prosecutor said.

Feds: Jersey Shore Cleaning Service Owner Admits Paying Workers Off Books To Duck Taxes
The owner-operator of a Tinton Falls-based commercial office cleaning business admitted Tuesday that he ducked federal taxes by paying employees off the books.
John Storz, 53, of Eatontown pleaded guilty during a video conference before a federal judge in Trenton to failing to collect, account for and pay payroll taxes, as well as tax evasion, an IRS spokesman said.
Storz cashed more than $1.2 million of client checks at a check-cashing business, then used most of the cash to pay employees under the table, federal authorities said.
