Man Runs Drug Operation, Unlicensed Repair Shop Out Of CT Home, Police Say
A search of a Connecticut man’s home reportedly unveiled not only an unlicensed repair shop but uncovered an operation to manufacture crack cocaine, ketamine, and more.
The Tolland County incident occurred on Tuesday, June 4 in the town of Somers.
According to police, a search warrant was executed for 53-year-old Randy Matthew Guyette’s Hall Hill Road home.
Originally, authorities suspected that Guyette was running an unlicensed auto repair business.
However, upon arrival, Guyette was allegedly found to also be in charge of a drug operation.

A Connecticut woman serving as president of a parent-teacher organization group allegedly drained approximately $12,000 from the group’s bank accounts, leaving them without enough money to hold school events, authorities alleged.
Tolland County resident Marissa Marks, age 41, of the town of Somers, was arrested on Tuesday, May 23 for allegedly misusing parent-teacher organization (PTO) funds, the Connecticut State Police reported.

The owner of a Connecticut construction company and an equipment operator has been charged with manslaughter in connection with the death of a worker who was buried in a collapsed trench.
The incident took place in Tolland County on Friday, July 22, 2022, at a construction site in Vernon that killed Hartford County resident, Dennis Slater, age 56, of East Windsor.

A company has recalled several sushi products that were sold at supermarkets in Connecticut and Massachusetts.
The Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection Food, Standards and Product Safety issued a food safety warning on Thursday, Aug. 11, for EZ Noble Sushi, which was available for purchase during the week of Monday, Aug. 8, at Geissler’s Supermarkets in Connecticut and Massachusetts.

Tornado Touches Down In Connecticut Leaving Trail Of Downed Trees, Destroyed Vehicles
A tornado touched down in Connecticut during a severe thunderstorm leaving behind damaged trees, missing shingles, and two destroyed vehicles.
The tornado rated an EF-0 (the weakest of the five levels on the Enhanced Fujita Scale), touched between 6:11 p.m. and 6:18 p.m., Sunday, July 18, in the Town of Somers, located in Tolland County near the Massachusetts border, according to the National Weather Service.

It turns out the man is a sex offender who never registered his newest home, work or school address with the police.
