Three animals were rescued in a house fire on Newton on the early morning of Friday, Sept. 6, authorities said. At 3:55 a.m., firefighters responded to a structure fire at Hillside Terrace and learned three animals may be trapped inside the building, the Newton Volunteer Fire Department said in a release. Bay Shore Resident Killed After House Fire Breaks Out
A resident was killed in a Long Island house fire. The blaze broke out just before 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27 in Bay Shore. Artemio Gonzalez, age 77, had been removed from the house by a family member, a good Samaritan and a Suffolk County PD Third Precinct officer. Four people suffered smoke inhalation after a large boat caught fire at a marina in Wildwood, officials said.
