Two teens are accused of attempting to rob a Long Island gas station and then robbing another gas station on the same morning.Rahquan Brooks, age 18, of the Bronx, and a 16-year-old boy, who was not identified because he is a minor, were arrested on Monday, Aug. 29, for incidents that happened earlier that day, the Nassau County Police Department reported.
Police said three suspects entered a Shell gas station, located at 650 Hillside Ave. in North New Hyde Park, at about 5 a.m. and tried to get behind the register area, which was locked.

Woman Steals Car, Runs Over Owner In Parking Lot At Lake Ronkonkoma Church, Police Say
A woman has been accused of stealing a car and running over the vehicle's owner in the parking lot of a Long Island church.
The incident happened around 6:45 p.m. Saturday, April 23 in Lake Ronkonkoma, Suffolk County Police said.
That's when a 73-year-old St. James woman drove her 2013 Chevrolet Spark into the parking lot of St. Mary’s Church, located at 315 Lake Shore Drive, parked near the clothing bins and exited the vehicle with the motor running, according to police.

Man Indicted For Murder After Fatal Shooting During Old Bethpage Park Robbery
A man was indicted for murder in a July 6 fatal shooting during a robbery in an Old Bethpage park.
Brandon Torres, 22, of Staten Island was arraigned Friday, Aug. 2 and charged with second-degree murder, first-degree robbery, two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and second-degree robbery, according to Nassau County District Attorney Madeline Singas.
Torres was remanded and is due back in court on Friday, Sept. 6. If convicted of the top count, he faces 25 years to life in prison.
