Police ID Two Men, Woman Hospitalized After Wrong-Way Head-On Crash
Police have identified three people hospitalized in a wrong-way, head-on crash that caused the closure of a stretch of the Taconic State Parkway this week.
It happened on the southbound side around 8:15 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4 in Pleasant Valley just south of Exit 54 (Route 44).
An investigation revealed a 2019 Mercedes Sprinter, operated by Jim George, 42, of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, was driving north in the southbound lanes and struck a 2017 Subaru Impreza, state police said. George was transported to Vassar Brothers Hospital, and treated for non-life threatening injurie…

Here's When, Where Labor Day DUI Details Will Be In Connecticut
During the unofficial last weekend of summer, Connecticut State Troopers are reminding drivers to be smart, drive safe and be prepared for thousands of other vehicles on the roads.
They're also announcing they will be out in force to check for drunk and drugged drivers, as well as aggressive drivers.
To make sure all stay safe, they will begin extra patrols at midnight, Friday, Aug. 30 and continue through 11:59 p.m., Monday, Sept. 2.

Four Northern Westchester Residents Charged With DWI In State Police Stops
New York State Police troopers busted more than a dozen motorists who were allegedly driving while impaired over the weekend in the Hudson Valley.

On Saturday, Dec. 1, State Police from Hawthorne arrested John D. Fuller, 59, of Cortlandt, for DWI, and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, both misdemeanors. He was traveling on the Sprain Brook Parkway in Greenburgh when he was found sleeping on the Parkway. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and he was subsequently arrested.

State Police Release DUI Patrol Info, Checkpoint Locations For Thanksgiving Week Details
With tens of thousands of travelers driving through Connecticut during the Thanksgiving week, State Police are ramping up their plans to keep highways safe for all during the holiday rush.
Beginning on Wednesday, Nov. 21, just after midnight, and running through Sunday, Nov. 25 at 11:59 p.m., state police will supplement its normal routine patrol personnel with additional Troopers throughout the long Thanksgiving holiday weekend.
