Jersey City Teens In Stolen Vehicle Ram Into Cop Car, 3rd Bails In Secaucus Police Vehicle
Two Jersey City teens were apprehended and one remains at large after being pursued by police while driving a stolen vehicle in Secaucus on the early morning of Monday, July 8, authorities said.
At 2:42 a.m., police spotted a 2018 Jeep Wrangler that had been stolen from Jersey City last month at a gas station on Route 3, Secaucus Police Chief Dennis Miller said. When police converged on the stolen car, the driver, a 15-year-old, intentionally rammed two occupied Secaucus police vehicles, injuring one officer, Miller said.

A 60-year-old Kearny man is facing charges after a DWI crash in which his SUV became wedged under a tractor trailer on Route 3, police in East Rutherford said.
Joseph Whiteman's white 2020 Nissan Rogue had become stuck under a tractor trailer that was stopped on the westbound side of the roadway around 11:40 a.m. Wednesday, June 26, East Rutherford Police Capt. Jeff Yannacone said.
Whiteman was arrested at the scene and charged with DWI, reckless driving, careless driving, failure to observe traffic lanes, and driving in an unsafe manner, police said.

Officers in the Secaucus Police Department's Anti-Crime Unit were patrolling near the Rodeway Inn Motel on Route 3, around 9:05 p.m. on Wednesday, March 22, when they noticed a 2021 BMW 540i pull into the parking lot, Police Chief Dennis Miller said.
