The funeral in Frankford Township caused delays in the area, with Sussex County Sheriff Michael Strada asking drivers to avoid the intersections of Route 15, 206, 565 and the surrounding area during the funeral. Dump Truck Overturns In Sussex County, Driver Hospitalized: Fire Department A person was hospitalized after they were trapped in an overturned dump truck Sussex County on Tuesday, Aug. 6, authorities said. At 3:02 p.m., first responders were dispatched to Route 15 southbound in Sparta Township and found a dump truck overturned with a driver trapped, the Sparta Township Fire Department said.  Sparta Township Fire Department The driver was out of the truck by the time first responders arrived and was treated and transported to a nearby hospital, firefighters said. Firefighters worked to secure the scene and eventually up righted the truck, authorities said.

64-Year-Old Woman Struck, Killed Crossing Jefferson Street A 64-year-old woman was struck and killed while crossing Route 15 in Jefferson on Saturday, police said. Anne Belcastro of Lake Hopatcong got out of the passenger seat of a car at the intersection of Berkshire Valley Road and began walking west across the highway around 5:30 p.m. when she was struck, Sgt. Joseph Kratzel said. The 47-year-old Andover driver had a green light, Kratzel added. Belcastro was taken to St. Clare's Hospital in Dover, where the sergeant said she was pronounced dead. The Morris County Prosecutor's Office and Jefferson police were investigating.
