Motorcyclist Airlifted Following Route 46 Crash:

A motorcyclist had to be airlifted to a nearby hospital after he crashed on Route 46 in Warren County on Wednesday, Sept. 18, authorities said. At 6:15 p.m., a Kawasaki motorcycle traveling westbound on Route 46 in Liberty Township lost control and veered off the right side of the road, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. The driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to a local hospital, Lebron said. The crash remains under investigation, Lebron said.

'Sleepless Night:' 2 Hikers Safe After 5-Hour Rescue In North Jersey
Two missing North Jersey hikers were rescued in a five-hour mission early Thursday, Sept. 19, responders said. According to the Cresskill Volunteer Ambulance & Rescue Corsp, Rescue 728, the East Bergen Rappel Team, and Alpine firefighters were called to Stateline Lookout in Alpine for the two missing hikers. A South Jersey charter school was closed Wednesday, Sept. 18 after a custodian was found dead as staff arrived, according to authorities. The body was that of a woman maintenance worker at the Mastery High School on Erie Street in Camden, Dan Keashen, a spokesman for Camden County, said on Thursday, Sept. 19 as school reopened. A 34-year old Warren County man was sentenced to five years in prison on Friday, Sept. 13 after pleading guilty to possessing ghost guns, authorities said. Joseph Palumbo Jr., a Columbia resident, carried out the illegal manufacture and sale of ghost guns between December 2023 and February 2024, Acting Morris County Prosecutor Maggie Calderwood said.
