The fight between a resident's dogs and a raccoon occurred on Deans Lane on Saturday, July 20, according to South Brunswick police. The raccoon was retrieved by animal control and sent for testing. A raccoon was out and about in a baggage claim area at Philadelphia International Airport, management told Daily Voice. It happened on Tuesday, July 25 near the B/C baggage claim area, PHL staffers confirmed. In a video obtained by 6abc, the animal is seen to suddenly appear on a luggage carousel and scurrying about. PHL said the errant raccoon hasn't been seen since the Tuesday incident, and speculated he "returned to the open fields that surround the airport."

A raccoon that was found behind the Charles Drew Community Center in Arlington last week has tested positive for rabies, officials said. Animal Control officials on July 7 captured the raccoon, who showed symptoms of rabies in the 3400 block of 22nd Street at around 7:30 a.m., Arlington County Animal Control reported.
