A man who tried to break into a storage facility in Billerica has been arrested by K9 troopers after leading state police on a high-speed chase, while driving a U-Haul van and wearing an orange ski mask.
Alexander Encarnacion, 29, of Providence, Rhode Island, was driving a 2008 Ford Econoline U-Haul van when he, and other people in a sedan, tried to break into a Billerica storage unit on Monday, Jan. 15, at 10:30 p.m., the facility’s manager said.
That’s when Encarnacion sped off as Billerica officers chased after him onto Route 3 south to Route 95 north.

A man was charged with motor vehicle homicide after his involvement with a crash that killed a Norfolk County man, officials say.
Randall Ricketts, age 58, of Foxborough, died on Monday, Aug. 29 after a three-car hit-and-run crash on Route 95 north near Exit 7 in North Attleborough, according to the Massachusetts State Police. Joseph Pompei Jr., age 50, of Cranston, Rhode Island, was later arrested in relation to the crash, police said in an update.

One man is dead after they were allegedly hit by a delivery truck carrying a dumpster in at a warehouse in Franklin, authorities said.

It took place around 5 p.m., Monday, May 30, in Windham County in the town of Thompson near the Quaddick Reservoir.
