Fire Breaks Out At Dutchess County Fairgrounds In Rhinebeck A fire broke out at a building at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds, prompting a quick response from firefighters that kept the damage contained.  The blaze began at around 3 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 6, at the Milk House located on the fairgrounds on Livestock Hill Way in Rhinebeck, where crews received reports of a propane heater fire with possible extension, the Rhinebeck Fire Department said.  When crews arrived, heavy smoke was visible pouring from the structure. Man Found Dead After Explosion Of Propane Heater On Long Island Detectives believe a malfunction in a propane heater is responsible for an explosion that left a 63-year-old Long Island man dead. The man, believed to be homeless, was found around 5:10 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 18, in a wooded area behind Middle Country Road in Coram, said the Suffolk County Police. The department's arson section and homicide squad detectives are investigating the incident, police said. The cause of death will be determined by the medical examiner's office.
