Longtime New Providence Firefighter's Dog Killed In Blaze: Fundraiser
A fire on Thursday, Jan. 2 hit home for Ralph Parlapiano, a firefighter in New Providence for 46 years, including a decade as chief.
Parlapiano's home was ravaged by a fire, destroying everything he owns and killing his dog, Breeze, according to a fundraiser.
At 3:28 p.m., firefighters responded to his home and found a heavy fire in the basement and first floor, New Providence Fire Department said. A second alarm was transmitted, bringing in additional support, firefighters said

State fire officials have identified the woman who was killed in a Franklin County fire as a 65-year-old Orange woman, authorities said.
Debra Marini died several hours after she was seriously burned last week in a blaze at 99 West River Street in Orange, the State Fire Marshal's Office said on Tuesday. The homeowner, Vicki Kennedy, was also seriously hurt in the fire, but authorities said she is expected to recover.

Fire Destroys Home, Kills Pets: Central Mass Family Asks For Help Rebuilding Their Lives
A Uxbridge woman hopes the public will help her rebuild after her family lost everything in a fire on Monday, May 29.
Brianna Watson created a GoFundMe to help replace some of the items lost in the fire, including nearly all of the toys and things that belonged to her three young boys — ages 6, 4, and 1, according to her fundraiser.
So far, the campaign has raised just over $12,000 of its $20,000 goal from more than 150 donors.

A family dog was killed and a second dog is missing after a serious house fire in Ocean County, authorities said.
On Monday, Feb. 28,at approximately 6:45 a.m., multiple police and fire units responded to Monroe Avenue for a reported structure fire. Upon arrival, fist responders found the home was fully engulfed, police said.

Family Loses Four Pets, All Belongings In Massive Suffern House Fire
A Suffern family lost everything it owned, including four beloved pets during a massive house fire.
The Suffern Fire Department said when they responded to the fire on Wednesday on Washington Avenue, they encountered heavy fires and worked for more than three hours before the fire was out. The department was assisted by numerous neighboring fire departments.
