Long Island Man Goes On Wild Tirade At Restaurant, Injures Officer, Police Say
A Long Island man was arrested after he allegedly caused a scene at a restaurant by breaking a martini glass, slapping an employee, and attacking officers, attempting to grab one's gun.
The incident took place in Nassau County around 4:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 16 in Carle Place at the Fogo De Chao Brazilian Steakhouse.
According to Nassau County Police detectives, when officers responded to the restaurant they found David A. Meikle, 30, of Uniondale attempting to escape by running on the Meadowbrook State Parkway.

At least seven people were involved in a Long Island disturbance that ended with three arrested, police said.
The incident occurred late on the night of Wednesday, April 12 in Inwood, according to the Nassau County Police Department.
Police say the disturbance started when 21-year-old Ashanti Eskarge, of Westbury, punched a 19-year-old girl in the mouth, lacerating her lower lip.

A Fairfield County woman driving under the influence in Westchester was taken into custody after resisting arrest following a traffic stop, according to authorities.
At around 10:20 p.m. on Friday, March 31, New York State Police troopers stopped a vehicle on I-95 in New Rochelle for a vehicle and traffic violation.

An alleged drunk driver is facing multiple charges after he was busted driving the wrong way on a highway in the region, authorities said.
Greene County resident Conor Moan, age 25, of Greenville, was arrested for felony DWI and other charges following a near-crash that occurred early Sunday, March 5, on the Thruway in Schenectady County, in the town of Rotterdam.
Troopers first spotted Moan at around 2 a.m. as he drove a Subaru Legacy westbound in the eastbound lane on I-90 near exit 26, according to State Police. They avoided a head-on crash by veering onto the right shoulder.
