Hudson County Math Tutor Omar Pershad, 30, Mourned As 'Old Soul, Fast Walker'
Omar Pershad, a 30-year-old Jersey City resident, died on Saturday, July 22, according to his obituary.
Pershad was a mathematics tutor at Hudson County Community College and a graduate of Hudson County Community College, New Jersey City University and New Jersey Institute of Technology, his obituary reads.
He was described as an "old soul", who enjoyed dancing, music, meeting new people and was a voracious walker, according to his obituary.

Drexel University Grad, DelCo Native Bradford Greene Dies At 32
Delaware County native Bradford Greene died on Aug. 3 at the age of 32.
Born in Newtown Square, and most recently a resident of Denver, CO, Greene had a passion for traveling, family, mathematics, and poker, his obituary says.
In May of 2018, he received his Bachelor of Science degree from Drexel University, and in May of 2020, he received his Master of Science in Mathematics from the University of Denver, according to his obituary.

Edwin Arthur Rosenberg, Professor Emeritus in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science died Saturday, May 25 in Natick, Mass. He was 94.
Rosenberg lived in Ridgefield, Redding and Danbury, and most recently was a resident of Whitney Place in Natick, Massachusetts.

Samuel J. "Sabrina" Kaplan of Chappaqua, an accomplished student at Horace Greeley High School, died of metabolic causes on Friday, Sept. 17 in Syosset at the age of 17.
Later in life, Sam's chosen name was Sabrina. The name Sabrina and appropriate pronouns will be used out of respect for her journey and her wishes.
