Trenton Police Officer, K-9 Injured When Unlicensed Driver Speeds Through Stop Sign: Mayor
A Trenton police officer and K-9 were injured when an unlicensed driver sped through a stop sign, authorities said. The crash occurred Thursday morning, July 25 at the corner of Second and Bridge streets, according to Trenton Mayor Reed Gusciora The officer's vehicle was T-boned, sending both cars into a residential building, the mayor said. A Harrison Township police car with a K-9 aboard was stolen prompting a "shelter in place" in another Gloucester County community, authorities said. On Facebook, West Deptford police said there was a suspect but no arrests had been made early Thursday, July 13. The patrol car theft occurred at about 5:45 p.m. Wednesday, July 12, in Paulsboro. Police are searching for an armed suspect who allegedly attempted to forcibly enter a Long Island home. The incident was reported around 11 p.m., Wednesday, March 2, on West Main St., in Riverhead. The Adams County Sheriff is mourning the loss of his favorite co-worker, his four-legged friend Leggy. Leggy, whose full name is Deputy Alegra, died Monday of a brain tumor.
