Two Saks Fifth Avenue locations in Pennsylvania are set to close, impacting more than 200 workers, according to WARN notices filed with the PA Department of Labor & Industry.
The luxury retailer will close its store at 250 Highland Park Boulevard in Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County, affecting 155 employees. The closure will begin on April 11, 2026 and conclude by April 30, 2026, according to the notice.
Another Saks Fifth Avenue location at 2 Bala Plaza in Bala Cynwyd, Montgomery County, will also shut down, impacting 50 workers. That closure is effective April 11, 2026, the filing states. …

A Virginia Macy's store is among a handful to shutter across the U.S., a spokesperson confirmed.
Macy’s will close five full-line locations located at Ballston (Arlington, VA), Bay Fair (San Leandro, CA), Kukui Grove (Lihue, HI), Simi Valley Town Center (Simi Valley, CA), and Governor’s Square (Tallahassee, FL).
The closures mean more than 2,300 employees will be laid off, CNN reports. A Macy's spokesperson said its workforce will be reduced by 3.5% "to become a more streamlined company."
