Amazon Starts Hiring At New CT Fulfillment Center As State Report Shows Loss Of 1.5K Jobs
First, the good news: This summer, Amazon plans to hire 1,800 workers at a new fulfillment center in North Haven -- its fourth facility in the state. The bad news: Connecticut suffered a net loss of 1,500 jobs in May, its fifth consecutive month of job losses. The state's unemployment rate remained at 3.8 percent. “Amazon’s relationship with Connecticut continues to grow as the company is seeing the value of our state as an emerging hub of its northeast operations,” Gov.
