Troopers responded to Brendan T. Byrne State Forest in Manchester Township at around 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 23, according to a state police spokesperson. Skeletal Remains Found In Saugus Woods Police are investigating after human remains were found by someone walking their dog in Saugus Sunday morning, Feb. 18.  The discovery happened in the woods off David Drive just before 10 a.m. The skeletal remains were taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine how they died and to identify them.  Police say they do not believe there is any risk to the public.  The Essex County District Attorney's Office did not release any other information about the discovery.
