Second Arrest Made In Abuse, Death Of 11-Year-Old Great Mills Boy, Sheriff Says
A second person has been arrested in connection with the abuse and death of an 11-year-old boy earlier this year in Southern Maryland. Deputies and EMS crews were called to the 22000 block of Castle Pollard Way in Great Mills on May 8 for a report of an 11-year-old not breathing, according to the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office. Life-saving measures were attempted, but the child was later pronounced dead at a local hospital. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore later ruled the boy’s death a homicide. Man Arrested By US Marshals For Phillipsburg Homicide: Prosecutor
A 34-year-old Newark man was arrested and charged on Thursday, Sept. 11 with the fatal shooting of a man in Phillipsburg, authorities said. James Dawes was apprehended by members of the United States Marshal’s Service NY/NJ Regional Fugitive Task Force in Newark, the Warren County Prosecutor's Office said. Dawes was charged last month following the death of Kevin Clerville on Monday, June 2 in Phillipsburg, authorities said. Dawes faces charges of homicide and multiple weapons offenses, authorities said.

The Prince George's County Police Department released video on Wednesday, Sept. 10, showing three suspects who are wanted in connection with the August murder of Nathaniel Stephon Grier. Officers were called shortly after 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 20 to the 4900 block of Indian Head Highway, where they found the 25-year-old Grier suffering from a gunshot wound.
