Prosecutors will seek the death penalty against a father accused of raping and killing his 2-year-old son, McKean County District Attorney Stephanie Vettenburg-Shaffer announced on Monday, Nov. 24.
Tyler Lee Prescott, 32, is charged with criminal homicide, rape of a child, incest, aggravated indecent assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, and related offenses in the death of his toddler son in August, according to the McKean County District Attorney’s Office and newly filed court records.

A Connecticut man is accused of fatally stabbing his father inside his Farmington home, authorities said.
Joshua Popielarczyk, 31, of Avon, repeatedly stabbed his father, David Popielarczyk, on Friday, Nov. 14, inside a Birch Street home, Farmington police said. Joshua was arrested the following day.

A second man has died following a pair of Harrisburg shootings that began with the killing of 18-year-old Rakeeb “Jaqai” Watson, authorities announced on Monday, Oct. 27.
